chanel-the-vocabulary-of-styleAs a freelance translator and editor, I have worked on a variety of projects over the years ranging from editing detailed academic texts to writing and subbing newspaper copy, and translating specialist books on archaeology to ghost writing a voluminous work on owls. The majority of my clients have been book publishers, including Thames & Hudson, HarperCollins, Collins Harvill, Cambridge University Press, Heinemann, Pan, Simon & Schuster, St James Press, St Martin’s Press and Periplus Publishing, but I have also worked for a number of other organisations including the Times Newspaper, Frame Store Films, Listings Limited and the Institute of Paper Conservation.

To date, I have translated some sixty books from French on subjects ranging from the fine arts to photography, fashion and textiles, and from ancient history to biography and travel. More recently I have also been working closely with a number of Dutch translation agencies, editing English translations of legal and commercial documents, while continuing to prepare a second collection of my own poetry for publication.
